Who’s Behind This Site?
Hi, I’m Choco Papa — a Korean drama obsessive who has been watching K-dramas for over 20 years.
I grew up in South Korea, where K-dramas were not just entertainment but part of daily life. From the classic melodramas of the early 2000s to today’s genre-bending thrillers on Netflix and Disney+, I have watched hundreds of series across every genre — romance, sageuk, crime noir, slice-of-life, and everything in between.
Why I Started KDrama Recap Hub
After years of discussing episodes with friends and writing long breakdowns in group chats, I realized there was a gap in the English-language K-drama space. Most recap sites either summarize the plot without analysis or focus only on surface-level reactions. I wanted something different — a site that treats K-dramas the way serious TV criticism treats Western prestige television.
Every recap on this site goes beyond “what happened.” I break down character motivations, directorial choices, rating trends, cultural context that only a Korean native would catch, and the storytelling decisions that make each episode work — or fail.
